Rabbits

Rabbit vaccination

Rabbit need to be protected against Calicivirus, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. The vaccine is given once before three months of age and boostered a month later, followed by yearly injections at their annual healthcheck. It is important to note thought that they cannot be protected against myxomatosis, which is also transmitted by mosquitoes, and that rabbits should be kept in insect-proof hutches and avoid being out during insect feeding periods.
