SR12, or Proheart, is a slow-release injection which treats your dog for heartworm over a whole year. We usually try to time the injection with your dog's annual health check and vaccination.
Proheart injections are given at 12 weeks of age, 6 months, and 15 months, then annually. If you have fallen behind or have never treated your dog for heartworm a blood test is required before treatment can begin to avoid complications. Please feel free to talk to us for more information.
